# Active Accounts

> Accounts that have completed activation.

## What is Active Accounts?

It's the count of accounts whose [product stage](/guide/features/product-stages) is Activated — meaning they've completed initial activation steps in your product.

## How It's Calculated

> **Active Accounts = Count of accounts where Product Stage = Activated**

## Why It's Useful

Active accounts have gotten past the initial hurdle but may not be deeply engaged yet. Tracking this alongside [Engaged Accounts](/guide/analytics/engaged-accounts) shows you how many activated users go on to become regular users.
