What it does

The Slack integration lets Bigdelta send messages to your Slack channels. Use it in workflows to notify your team about the visitor behavior you care about — a new signup, a completed purchase, or a key page being visited.

How to connect

Go to Settings then Integrations

Find the Slack card in the list.

Click Connect

A popup window opens to authorize Bigdelta in your Slack workspace.

Authorize in Slack

Select the Slack workspace you want to connect and approve the requested permissions.

Connection complete

Once authorized, the integration shows a Connected status. You can now add Slack steps to your workflows.
Make sure you have permission to install apps in your Slack workspace. You may need to ask a Slack admin for approval.

Configuring a Slack message

When adding a Slack message step to a workflow:
  1. Select a channel — choose which Slack channel receives the message
  2. Write your message — compose the content using plain text and personalization variables
  3. Add variables — insert dynamic record properties, like the user’s email or the page they visited

Notifications

Slack notifications are recorded in Bigdelta so you can see a history of all messages sent through the integration.
