What is Activation Rate?

Activation Rate is the percentage of new accounts that complete activation in your product. If 100 accounts were created this month and 60 reached the Activated product stage, your activation rate is 60%.

How to Calculate It

Activation Rate = Activated accounts / New accounts × 100
Example:
  • New accounts created: 50
  • Accounts that reached Activated stage: 35
Activation Rate = 35 / 50 × 100 = 70%

Why It’s Useful

It tells you how well your onboarding is working. A low activation rate means new customers are signing up but not getting started. Fix onboarding before spending more on acquisition. Bigdelta calculates this automatically from your account creation and product stage data.
