What is Average Sales Price?

ASP is the average amount of MRR you get from each new customer when they first sign up. If 3 new customers signed up this month and brought in a total of $300 in New MRR, your ASP is $100.

How to Calculate It

ASP = Total New MRR / Number of new customers
Example:
  • Customer A signed up at $49/month
  • Customer B signed up at $99/month
  • Customer C signed up at $149/month
ASP = ($49 + $99 + $149) / 3 = $99

Why It’s Useful

ASP tells you what plan new customers are choosing. If ASP is going up, new customers are picking higher-value plans. If it’s dropping, they’re going for cheaper options. Bigdelta calculates this automatically from your New MRR events.
