What is Paying Accounts?

It’s the count of accounts with MRR greater than zero at a given point in time. If 80 out of your 200 accounts are on a paid plan, your paying accounts count is 80.

How It’s Calculated

Paying Accounts = Count of accounts where MRR is greater than 0
Only accounts that are active and paying during the period are counted. Free plan users are excluded.

Why It’s Useful

It’s the simplest measure of your customer base size. Combined with MRR, it gives you ARPA. Combined with churn count, it gives you your customer churn rate. Bigdelta tracks this automatically based on your billing data.
