What is MRR Discount Amount?

It’s the total value of discounts applied to your subscriptions, expressed as a monthly amount. If you gave a customer 25% off a $200/month plan, that’s $50 in MRR discount. Add up all discounts across all customers and you get your total MRR Discount Amount.

How It’s Calculated

MRR Discount Amount = Sum of all discount amounts on active subscriptions

Why It’s Useful

It tells you how much revenue you’re leaving on the table. A growing discount amount might mean you’re relying too heavily on discounts to close deals or retain customers. Compare this to your total MRR to understand what percentage of potential revenue is being discounted. Bigdelta calculates this automatically from your billing data.
